North Shore Beach Holidays

This is an apartment in a standard old 3 story Montreal building. Very representative of typical downtown Montreal living. But beware - these places have little or no soundproofing. You will hear every footstep of the people above you, and the voices next door. This was OK for much of our stay but we were unlucky the first night, when people upstairs, including children, were walking and running almost continually until 1am, preventing sleep. But the other nights were not so bad. There is a lot of space, a good kitchen, and a bus stop to central Montreal right outside. And it is in an area with many nice cafes, restaurants, and tiny unique shops.

Les employés qui se trouvent à la réception de l'hôtel sont d'un naturel sympathique et courtois. Ils ou elles sont sincèrement aimables et n'empruntent pas une attitude faussement polie ou hautaine comme dans certains endroits. Cela fait également en sorte que l'on s'y sent en sécurité. Lorsque j'ai fait une demande précise elle fut respectée durant tout le séjour ( 5 jours ). Je n'ai pas eu à repréciser comme cela arrive parfois ailleurs. La déco des chambres est stylée et bien agencée, l'éclairage y est bien pensé, que l'on veuille une ambiance feutrée ou simplement un éclairage fonctionnel pour y voir clair, les différentes possibilités couvrent tout les besoins en la matière. La salle de bain est bien conçue, la robinetterie simple d'utilisation et la douche est spacieuse. Mon bémol concernant ma chambre... C'était plus propre qu'à d'autres hôtels où j'ai séjourné mais moins qu'à d'autres , il y avait des lacunes... J'ai vu de multiples taches (douteuses) sur le divan de l'espace salon, sur le tapis ainsi que sur le rideau de la fenêtre au point où je me suis demandé ce qui s'y était passé précédemment... Mais heureusement... Les draps du lit étaient impeccables et d'une blancheur immaculée et la salle de bain était propre. Fiou! En résumé j'y ai passé un séjour fort agréable... La gentillesse du personnel, l'efficacité de la conception des chambres, la déco stylée ainsi que l'emplacement de l'hôtel font en sortent que le St-Thomas est un bon choix.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would absolutely rate it highly. The staff truly stood out—they were consistently friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to assist with anything we needed, which made the experience feel welcoming and personal. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also a huge plus, as it’s conveniently close to everything, which made getting around simple and enjoyable. We especially appreciated the adjoining outdoor space—it was a great bonus and added to the overall atmosphere of the stay. The only minor downside was that the front entrance was under renovation during my visit, so we had to pass through a busy restaurant/bar area, which could feel a bit tight and crowded—especially when carrying shopping bags. However, this didn’t significantly impact my overall experience. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again.
