Malta Cheap Holidays

It was generally okay. My biggest two complaints was the food and the lack of warning against other hotel attendees. Thankfully, we only opted for the breakfast option - not all inclusive - the breakfast was edible but nothing exciting. Dinner was not much better. Adding onto this, you’re not allowed to get your own food, there are staff at every food option waiting to serve you. Personally I didn’t like this as I think there’s joy in picking what you like and trying different things, it generally felt awkward. My other complaint is that during our stay there were constant summer camps there, which basically meant relaxing with 13 year olds (7-15 my guess) running around. While they weren’t a massive issue, on occasions they were loud, bothered other guests and got in trouble with the staff. I even spoke to one of the camp coordinators and she said she would hate it if she booked her holiday here. It would have been nice to have been made aware of this as me and my partner came to relax and they were just a nuisance. Overall the hotel is okay, lovely pool and sun loungers, coffee bar was affordable and the shop was useful. The room was also a standard level, very average. I can’t remember how much we payed ( 2 adults, 7 days ) but I would not pay more than ish £100 a night. Thankfully there is a lovely bakery next door which we got dinner from, and is a 20 min walk to the centre of the bay where we had a fantastic meal at Nine Lives. Take this as you will, hope this helps.

In the main this is a great hotel with many positives. Location is fab , with a bus stop near and a few restaurants / bars in either direction. However there desperately needs to be a crossing on the main road up from the harbour , this is dangerous !!!! Also a supermarket / grocery store closer would be helpful. The hotel itself is full of old charm , the room was spacious and incredibly clean... yes dated as we were in a non refurbished one . However it added to the quaintness. Housekeeping was very good , although I did have to ask reception to move drinks bottles on our corridor that had been left for nearly 2 days. Breakfast was fabulous , a good choice and lovely setting. Finally the swimming pool was definitely the WOW factor. We had a great time using this frequently and never tired of the view xx
