Kind of a funky place with two buildings connected by a cat walk. Location was perfect and front desk staff were very helpful!

A bit of a walk to center of town. Convenient bakery attached was good.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Leifur Eiríksson. The location is excellent, right across from Hallgrímskirkja and within easy walking distance of restaurants, cafés, shops and the main downtown area. It is also extremely convenient for tours, with Bus Stop 8 nearby, where many tour operators pick up passengers. The staff were one of the highlights of our stay. They were professional, friendly, welcoming and very helpful with questions and tour arrangements. The breakfast was very good and a great way to start the day. The buffet offered a nice variety, including Geyser Bread - rúgbrauð . The one thing to keep in mind is the size of the rooms and especially the bathroom and shower. The rooms are on the smaller side. Overall, Hotel Leifur Eiríksson is a comfortable, convenient and friendly hotel that works particularly well as a base for exploring Reykjavík and taking day tours.
