Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, particularly because of how my concerns were handled by the front desk. When I arrived, I was told that a room was available for early check-in but would cost €10 per hour. This was not mentioned on the booking page, so I declined and expressed my frustration. To be clear, I am not referring to the additional €7 charge, which I was aware of and had no issue with. After I complained, another receptionist said I could check in without any additional cost. I checked in at around 1:22pm and turned on the AC because the room was very hot. It did not appear to work, but I assumed it needed time. When I returned around 5pm, the room was even hotter, so I contacted reception. The female receptionist responded in an extremely rude and dismissive manner, saying they did not have enough staff and essentially asking what I expected them to do. I did not argue. Later, a member of staff came with a fan and said the AC could not be fixed and that I could not be moved because the hotel was fully booked. Interestingly, when I checked the hotel’s availability myself, double rooms were still available for that night, which made this explanation difficult to understand. I also found very long hairs in my towels and bathroom, which was extremely unpleasant and unhygienic. Technical problems can happen, but the way this situation was handled and the attitude of the staff were unacceptable. I have never experienced this.

Room felt clean and tidy until I dropped something under the bed and there was a lot of dust. Otherwise fab room, curtains kept room nice and dark. Fab location and always felt safe

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel2stay. It’s in a very convenient location, close to public transport. The room is big and has a little kitchen inside, very convenient I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable place that feels a little like home while in Amsterdam.

Property close to public transportation. Had to request new door keys numerous times because they didn’t work. Road work prevented access to train station and taxi/uber rides
