Felt like a rich edwardian staying in this lovely old hotel. Big room, big bathroom, wide corridors and vast lounge. Great breakfast with sweet, attentive staff. Close to the lake. Shuttle to and from the railway station a godsend. Staying 2 days, we received a free gondola and transport pass. Switzerland is of course very expensive, but provided quality, efficiency and cleanliness everywhere we visited.

Faded glory
"Pleasant enough, but a little long in the tooth, as they say, and it was all groups so you couldn't eat dinner there as it was reserved solely for the large groups. The bar, however, is wonderful and has a great staff."

"The hostel room is clean and spacious. But there is no elevator. It is difficult to carry the luggage upstairs. I am a senior and the room is on the 3rd floor. When I asked the manager whether the seniors can get the rooms on 1st floor. She said no and we can get rooms with elevator in a more expensive ..."
