Italian Riviera Cheap Holidays

We were moved to the Grand hotel Savoia next door. Which was stunning and a lovely stay. This was a free upgrade. Not sure why but not complaining!

The staff was very kind and friendly and accommodating room was as advertised .

A must stay for anyone visiting Genova! Class all around.

The room had no windows and no way to ventilate the room. Breakfast was very good.

Overall the staying was ok. The big issue I found was on the Food and Beverage department. Went to the lobby/bar and waited for 10-15 minutes and nobody showed up. I found out later by asking that the bar was on the terrace. Went to the bar at the 7th level. Waited for another 15’ and nobody showed up either. I ended up leaving again to get a drink somewhere else outside. I came back at 22:10 to the restaurant to grab something to eat, the waiter almost refused to let me sit, I then remarked the restaurant (kitchen) was open till 22:30. I was being served with a terrible attitude from the waiter. I used the spa, one steam room is not working, wasn’t greeted at the entrance either and I had to figure out things for myself. For a 5 star hotel there is no excuses to provide for such a terrible service. I expect much more, and this are just the basics things to expect.
