River House is very well located overlooking the river in a busy area adjacent to the Macdonalds. We did not have a river view and the room was quite small. The elevator was also quite small, barely fitting the two of us and our suitcases. The elevator does not go to the ground floor so stairs are required to get to breakfast. The air conditioning in the room would not cool the room to our desired temperature at night. Overall it seemed a little over priced for the quality of the room.

Overall fantastic property and staff, I travel a lot for business and this property stands out.

Check in very easy and checked me in early. Very centrally located in the historic district. Grocery store and many local dinners nearby. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very tasty and a wide selection of foods available. Clean room and a garden balcony on the 6th floor. This was a father and son trip from Chicago to visit the festival where everyone was playfully hitting each other with plastic hammers. I enjoyed this hotel and the people of Porto. Very safe area and I will stay again.

Excellent stay in a beautiful hotel and perfect location. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious as was the restaurant attached to the hotel too. Can’t recommend it enough!

Nice clean facility with comfy bed. Parking $13EU/day. It’s a bit away from the downtown attractions but a 25-30 min walk up and down the hills and you are there.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great bar and restaurant, excellent spa, indoor and outside pool options, great access to beach and boardwalk leading to Gaia and Espinho (two smaller cities south of Porto). Rooms also have great view. Very upscale. The only downside is that it’s about a 25 minute car ride to Porto, but the neighboring cities also offer a cool beach town experience (but definitely go to Porto). We would definitely return!
