I am so glad after reading some really bad reviews about the Hotel I had originally booked that I was able to secure a last minute reservation at Le Drips....besides being a moderately priced beautiful Hotel with a stunning pool....it is literally a museum of Modern and Local Art.....We had spent almost a week in the gloom of Paris and some fellow travellers told us we would find lots of welcoming faces and a different attitude in Marseilles....boy howdy were they right....and it all started with Maylon and the other staff at Le Drips... Fabulous job.... professional and friendly....incredible stay!!!

The pool was lovely. Very helpful young man on Reception.

The room was adorable. The balcony looked out over the harbor. Everything was very clean. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was located in the middle of the Vieux Port with lots of things to walk to.

Super friendly staff. Very enthusiastic and ready to help in each and every way. Super modern and stylish hotel. Highly recommend.

Overall a good experience, but by any means a great experience. For a hotel with these ratings, the expectations are not met: none of the showers worked properly- one was leaking, the other one didn’t work. The room is market as it has a balcony with ocean view: that was true, as was ‘some’ ocean view, otherwise it was a lot of ‘roof view’ of the adjacent building. Some of staff members was trying to do their best (the valet team was fantastic as they have a very hard job to move the luggage up and down on a lot of stairs), but some of them just average not something expected from a hotel with such ratings … and rates (ie at check out they charged us one night more for the parking, the offer for transportation was just outrageous- ie 3 times the taxi rates for same type of car…). On the other hand, pleas do yourself a favor and don’t go to the hotel’s restaurant: the service is just bad and the food not so great either (at least for the expectation from a Michelin star restaurant). Let’s start with the reservation: we asked for dinner reservation, and they booked us at 8:00 pm, when the best time is 7:00 pm so you can enjoy the sunset- they didn’t mention / offer this, albeit the restaurant was half booked when we arrived. They asked for formal dressing: don’t worry - they do not reinforce: the people are showing up in T shirts and flip flops. Now the service: we asked for sparkling water, obviously they brought us still water; they brought us the drinks ordered by others …

Excellent location delicious breakfast and bright decor made our stay so relaxing.
