Great apartment right in the middle of lovely, Pralognan-la-Vanoise. Good facilities in the flat. Nice view of mountain.

Great location, staff and view.

I have mixed feelings about our stay at the White Angel Hotel. While the property has many positives, there were also some notable drawbacks. Pros: The hotel is beautifully located in the middle of the mountains, with stunning views from the rooms, dining area, and pool. The property is well maintained, breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was also very convenient to rent ski equipment and purchase lift tickets directly at the hotel. Cons: The biggest issue was the check-in process and room arrangements. We booked three rooms with king-size beds for a total of eight travelers. According to Expedia, the rooms accommodate three people, and we planned for my husband and me to share the bed with our 8-year-old daughter, which we’ve done on many trips. However, at check-in we were told the rooms were considered “double” and that three people were not allowed to share a king-size bed. Our friends faced the same issue. We were forced to upgrade to “triple” rooms (king bed plus pullout sofa) at an extra cost of €200 per night per room—€2,000 total. Since it was Christmas Eve, we had no alternative. Pool and spa access is not included and costs €20 per adult and €15 per child per visit, which adds up quickly for families. Lastly, the ski-in/ski-out access is narrow and located on a steep slope, which may be difficult for inexperienced skiers.

Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year!

Spacious, clean room with large en-suite shower room, although not too keen on the frosted glass wall through to the bedroom! Firm bed and pillows. Staff were friendly and efficient. Good situation for our visit to Plainpalais and the city centre.

great hotel in great location in Geneva

The staff were friendly and the room was spotlessly clean. Nice ambience when we arrived, check in process was nice and quick. Room was cleaned daily. Nice areas to sit by reception. Location was great as only 10 mins from train station, also has access to trams and you can walk to the lake in under 5 mins and follow into centre of Geneva
