Used to be a great location in the middle of everything. Unfortunately the streets around are super dirty and smoking weed everywhere on the streets. If you want to fail your next drug test go to Amsterdam. No clue why the city charges 21 dollar city tax for such a mess!
The room is small (old building) but has everything you need. The gym is very limited for a hotel this class. Great bars in the Hotel and exceptional staff.
The Hotel focuses on the LBGTQ+ community. Not sure as a „normal“ person you are very welcome there. Would not go again but mainly bc of the city not the hotel.

Room was lovely. a very European/Dutch style room. Room was small but had everything we needed. Did not spend much time in the room other than to sleep. View of the canal outside was nice.
We visited at the end of a heatwave so the lack of AC in the property was noticed but not a deal breaker. We had the window in the room open to help cool down as well as a small fan running (provided by the hotel).
We were on the edge of a touristy area and the noise was a bit excessive at times, mostly at night while we were trying to sleep. Not a deal breaker, but its nice to know what you are walking into.
