The room was sparkling clean, and the staff were all lovely. The bar doesn’t open until 4:30 pm, which was extremely odd for vacationers who are not stuck on a work schedule. The only real complaint was that the room is extremely cold-feeling: Everything is white metal or plastic—every single surface except the bed was hard and sharp cornered and chilly. The opposite of cozy or comfortable. It was very nice! Just not cozy.

Beautiful historic hotel in a great neighborhood. The lounge and bakery were added bonuses. The only small complaints I have are I wished they had another spot for luggage in the room and a few more nice pillows on the beds. We got a couple pillows from the front desk, but they weren’t as comfy as the two on the bed.

My only issue is upon check-in at 3:30 I was given a small hotel room that I did not pay for, I reserved and paid for the studio room. I went back to get the correct room and was told I was automatically given that smaller room because the room I paid for and reserved wasn’t ready yet, the issue is that they said I could stay in that room or be put in the queue for the studio I paid for. That was it. No offer to refund to the lesser room, no apologies. By that point I had traveled 9+ hours with my family and requested to be contacted as soon as possible for a room so we can settle and rest. Beyond that, the rooms were beautiful and tidy, we just didn’t like that the hallway walls where the rooms were didn’t have the pictures on them so all we saw was hardware.

The property is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. It just takes a while to get stuff delivered to your room when you order room service.

The room was clean in the most basic sense of the word but the entire hotel is in a very poor state of repair. My 2 year old sliced his toe open on the wooden flooring in our room. The lift is from a time gone bye and barely functions. The bar is constantly closed as there is one member of staff running reception and the bar in the evening and they are “too busy”. Breakfast is very limited with a coffee machine that only half works, 4 croissants for around 30 people
