I booked this hotel expecting basic amenities, especially a hot shower and a comfortable night’s sleep. Unfortunately, there was no hot water during my stay, making it impossible to shower. This completely defeated one of the main reasons I booked the hotel. I informed the front desk, but the issue was not resolved in a timely manner, and there was no compensation offered. A functioning hot water system is a basic expectation for any hotel, and not having it significantly impacted my stay.

Great views

The hotel has great air conditioning! I was there during a heat wave & the room temperature could be adjusted unlike some other nearby hotels. The staff was polite and helpful. The tram is right outside the front door and only 3 stops to the train station. My only suggestion is to have a mini fridge. It would have been helpful for cold drinks and snacks during the heat wave.

Overall this hotel was good, but not our favourite on this trip. The service and staff were wonderful but the fact that a 5 star hotel like this does not offer air conditioning was surprising. We know Europe is mixed on air conditioning but this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, with modern amenities. With a heat wave during our stay this was uncomfortable. As well the lake view room with balcony overlooks the train station- we were not expecting that. The highlight was breakfast with a table side croissant station, whereby the waiter made you a fresh croissant with your choice of fillings.

All of it. Service was beyond excellent. People from the USA should see what service really is. Something to respect. Thank you.

Beautiful place to stay. Staff were very helpful and gave us an early check in, and kids loved the chocolate butler. Great location, easy to walk to old town and just cross the street to the train. Thanks for a lovely first time in Zurich!

Really wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Zürich. Room was clean and very comfortable, nice view over the Sihl river. Restaurant on property was well managed, service was great and the menu excellent.
