Very at home feel, Close to the 5 and 22 bus lines that made 20- 25 min trips to downtown. They provided free bus passes which made getting around easy. Room had AC.

Awesome hotel in the heart of the Old Town. A historic cinema still operates in the basement and first floors, and our son loved the popcorn machine outside the theater. Our room (superior double) was nice and large with an updated bathroom and plenty of space for 2 adults and a child. The staff were all very friendly and helpful in providing directions, making reservations, etc. Our son loved his cute present for reading the Leo book provided at check-in. A grocery store and numerous restaurants are just steps away. The funicular is about a 10-minute walk, as are most parts of the old town, and the new town is also about a 10-minute walk across the Mozart Bridge. The perfect spot to stay when visiting Salzburg!

For $200 per night, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this hotel was far below what the price suggests. The toilet was heavily stained in a way that looked like it simply needed a proper scrub, there was dust on many surfaces, the carpets were old, stained, and had an unpleasant smell, and there was visible mold in the corners of the bathroom. The location is convenient if you need to be close to Salzburg's main train station, but it's not an area I would recommend for visitors. With the same budget, you can stay in hotels located in the heart of the city or on much more charming streets, which would make for a far better overall experience. Even if being next to the train station is your priority, the neighboring Arte Hotel and H+ Hotel appeared much better maintained from the outside and would likely be worth considering instead. The hotel's photos are also misleading. They give the impression of a modern, fresh property, but the reality is quite different. The building feels dated and poorly maintained. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room, and even the elevators were hot and lacked air conditioning. To be fair, there were a couple of positives. The shower had excellent water pressure, and if you're on one of the higher floors, the views are beautiful and the staff was friendly and did move us to a different room that had a better AC but still was underwhelming. Overall, this hotel is significantly overpriced for what it offers
