I didn’t like the shower in the bath.

Starting on a positive note, the front desk attendant was probably the most genuinely nice Frenchman I’ve ever met. I didn’t get his name, but he was super friendly, nice and helpful, we loved him. The hotel itself was in dire need of some deep cleaning, air circulation, maybe a remodel. We stayed here for 1 night, the AC in our room ran the whole time yet the air wasn’t cold, it wasn’t hot either but it was definitely very stale. The room was very used, the trim was falling off around the corners, there were scuff marks everywhere, the wallpaper was starting to come off in places and had a spot where something was clearly torn off of it. The carpet was black so I can’t comment on its cleanliness but the bathroom smelled like the floors hadn’t been washed in weeks, most public restrooms smell cleaner, to add to that, if you looked closely at the dark yellow walls you could see small dust bunnies stuck to them. We didn’t see any cockroaches or bed bugs but there was somehow a grasshopper stuck in the drapes. To end on yet another poor note, the mattress wasn’t great, it may have been a combination of things but neither my wife nor I had a good night’s sleep.

Good location. Reception area uninviting and the decor of the whole hotel is unusual and dull. Staff at breakfast were very nice.
