Good location paid parking on site nice staff unassuming good hotel decent price

We checked in Thursday morning and had a lovely side sea view. Unfortunately, there was confusion over breakfast. We booked through Expedia believing it was included, but were told it wasn't. Expedia blamed the room type, although the hotel manager confirmed this was incorrect. Two other guests also told us they had experienced exactly the same issue with Expedia. If booking through Expedia, double-check what is included. On Friday, we requested fresh towels, water and ice, but despite several calls, these were delayed and the ice was forgotten. Breakfast itself was excellent, with a great selection and very good quality. I would love to see iced matcha available too. The hotel grounds and pool are beautiful, with lovely views. However, the gym is extremely disappointing for such a large hotel. It is tiny, poorly equipped, the weights only go to 10kg, and the mats are ripped and slippery. With six people inside, there wasn't enough space to exercise comfortably. At around 9:45pm, room service was brought to our room despite us not ordering it, so room numbers should be checked before disturbing guests late at night. A big positive was the manager, who went out of his way to locate my daughter's Lululemon jumper and my missing clothes. His help was excellent and much appreciated. Overall, beautiful hotel and grounds, excellent breakfast and wonderful views, but there are clear areas for improvement, particularly the Expedia breakfast issue.

The room offered (2 double beds) was not the room we had booked (queen size). We had to wait another 2hours to get our room. The staff at reception desk was not friendly or helpful answering our questions. The hôtel location is far from everything. Not much around. I would not recommend it to anyone who wants comfort, luxueux and a good location to visit Porto

While the room itself was aesthetic, my room faced the street and I was awoken every few hours by either pedestrians yelling or a truck as its a high traffic area. I gave it 3 stars because it was a bit noisy, the right side of my bed caved in so I had to sleep on the other side exclusively and lastly, there was some mold in the shower. The staff were really nice however and upon checking in every guest gets a welcome drink which was neat.
