Lazarus Island Romantic Holidays

I was checking out this morning and was waiting in the queue. However, several people who arrived after me were allowed to go ahead of me. When I raised this issue with the receptionist, a staff member named Nazam, he raised his voice at me and told me to go back and stand behind them. I found his behavior rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. This incident completely ruined my day and spoiled what had otherwise been an enjoyable holiday. I am requesting a full refund due to the poor treatment I received. I also believe I may have been treated differently because of my nationality. I sincerely hope the hotel investigates this matter, as no guest should be made to feel discriminated against or spoken to in such a manner. If you did not actually witness or have evidence of discrimination, you may want to soften that sentence by saying, "I felt I may have been treated differently because of my nationality," rather than stating it as a fact. This makes the complaint stronger and more accurate.

Staff are nice, the place is very convenient.

Staff was wonderful, especially "uncle Joseph" at the Club Lounge who took really good care of me; the other employees of the lounge/Club level guest services were also very kind. Buffet breakfast is diversified and enjoyable. The room was spacious and well-appointed, but I would suggest to install a desk and comfortable chairs instead of the weird sofa/couch and heavy table, not practical for working on the computer. Bathroom was nice, with a stand-alone shower. Not a fan of the "rain shower head", but there was also a handheld shower head, which was really useful. I stayed at the same hotel in 2022, and nothing has changed, so maybe it is time for a facelift! Despite of the somewhat dated decor, everything is well-cared for and in good condition. Went for a massage, fine but not as good as the ones I had 4 years ago; was it because of the promotional price? The location is very central; I was in Singapore for a conference at the Marina Bay Convention Center and it was a 5-6 minutes ride from the hotel. This hotel is a solid 4-star, not luxurious, but very well appointed, and the personnel is very attentive to the guests' needs, which is not always the case....The only difficulty was related to my early arrival at the hotel. I phoned to inform in advance of my early arrival (around 6h30 am). When I arrived, I was told that I need to pay $150SGD to have an early access to a room, which I refused. I got my room at 11:30am, and sleep was welcome after traveling 30 hours.

Room was small but this is normal for Singapore. Immaculately clean and maintained. Breakfast had good variety. Staff were always polite.

The hotel is in a good location. Downstairs is the big shopping mall where there are many shops and restaurants. The room is spacious, but one night the water from the faucet in the bathroom became yellow and it made us worried about the water safety. Breakfast is below average.
