Caribbean Romantic Holidays

My husband and I stayed 5 days and 4 nights. The hotel is nice, staff is nice as well however most of them don’t speak English so communication was a bit difficult. The beach was full of seaweed and smelled like the literal sewer so we could not even swim in the water, we just mostly stayed by the pool area. The restaurants are all by reservation only, if you don’t have a reservation then you cannot go. The food was just ok, nothing too special however the buffet on the family side was great. The drinks were also just ok, everything tasted a little strange. Husband and I both also got stomach bugs from eating the food and drinking drinks but that is just about expected in DR. The workers start cleaning and mowing the grass everyday at 7AM so be ready to be woken up. Also, they will try to make you go to a timeshare presentation, don’t fall for it. Stay was just ok, probably won’t be back.

Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was better than expected. Concierge service was hit or miss. There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room and we called for one twice and never got one. You have to be there when you request concierge service or they don’t deliver it. Housekeeping was great! We would definitely go back!

My daughter and I had a wonderful, restful stay here. All of the staff members were very kind and friendly and they have an excellent coffee shop that I loved. There were lots of couples and families there. They have a waterpark for the kids as well as a regular pool and golf course. But I especially love the fact that it’s right on the beach. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

We always love staying at Riu Antillas. Everyone is helpful and nice. We have never had an issue there. It truly is one happy island. Highly recommend.
