We loved our stay here in Cartagena. Breakfast was great and we loved the happy hour on the rooftop bar. The location was close to everything and it was easy to travel around

We recently stayed at Hotel Charleston Santa Teresa and had a mix of positive and disappointing experiences. On a positive note, the hotel itself is beautiful and well located, and we truly appreciated the staff addressing our initial room concern by upgrading us to a much larger room with a king bed. The spa experience was also excellent — one of the highlights of our stay. However, our experience after the spa at the rooftop pool fell short of expectations, especially for a hotel at this price point. We were unable to find seating while a cabana remained unoccupied for nearly an hour, held only by a personal item, and staff were unable to assist or offer a solution. We ended up sitting in a noisy indoor area, which took away from what we had hoped would be a relaxing final afternoon. Additionally, the service at the rooftop felt rushed, and we experienced some pressure to change our food order after already deciding, which was surprising and not in line with the level of hospitality we expected. While we appreciated the gestures made early on during our stay, the rooftop experience was disappointing and left us wishing for a more seamless and attentive level of service overall. Overall, a beautiful property with strong potential, but inconsistent service in key moments.

We went to the port on a Tuesday afternoon and it was easy to find the staff. They also communicate by WhatsApp. The boat rides went fine. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. If you want a second cup of coffee during the breakfast, you'll have to flag the staff down. The hotel room was good and we liked the bed. Lots of beach loungers with shade available during the midweek. Food was good, but a bit pricey. Beach was nice, the water could be rough if boats pass by. The water isn't as clear as the other islands but this one is much closer to the city. The resort dogs and cats were friendly. There are day pass visitors but we didn't feel like impacted the service level from the staff. We didn't like that the jet ski staff would ride into the designated swim spot. Seems like an accident could happen and it also makes the water quality worse. One thing to note about the property is that they asked for reviews from us several times.
