Staff were nice and professional

The place was a classy endeavor from top to bottom. Staff was always friendly and helpful, property was clean and beautifully appointed and designed. I do wish the steam room and sauna were more private (a reservation did not mean exclusivity) and less uptight about swim trunks, but that's just my opinion.

My stay was quite enjoyable and peaceful. The housekeeping staff came by every morning, they were friendly and attentive. The front desk staff were helpful. My room was clean and the given glassware was beautiful. My only complaint would be a strange smell emanating from the bathroom drain. It was pungent and not a pleasant stench.

This is a 5* hotel, with the usual amenities - bellboy, valet parking, etc. Location is outstanding - like a fairy tale (with Christmas lights still up). Room was old and needs to be updated. Room pricing appears to vary a lot, depending on demand. We were there over Christmas week, and it was very expensive (IMO overpriced.) Definitely *the* place to stay in Strasbourg.
