The hotel smells bad so the staff constantly sprays this air freshener around that smells like bug spray..the towels r frayed and have holes in them..my single room was very small and so was the shower..there is a big hole by the front steps that is dangerous..8 steps to get into the hotel..the breakfast was OK.

My red flag is that they should have breakfast included with the price and not as an extra. But also there were fruit flies flying around the bread but whatever there are starving children that would be grateful otherwise. I’m a simple customer and I make the best out all my experiences. The neighborhood around is beautiful. It’s convenient that the location is midpoint between Amsterdam and Zandvoort beach. The shower was good and I slept like a newborn. Staff were sweethearts though. My only thing is that for a family of four with two kids, expect to pay 45 euro extra, that’s two buffets and two continental breakfasts. Also don’t use the toilet downstairs if you have to go number 2, it’s clogged. I would stay again if the price is right and breakfast is actually included and not extra.

The staff was very helpful during checking. It is self service but somebody was around to help merge my reservations. The lobby has a self sprout for still and sparkling water. Once in my room i noticed the refrigerator was not working and had a mildew in the back. The hotel and rooms needs to need renovated. The bathroom was nicely refurbished and i felt safe being there alone.

This was our favourite hotel by far! We loved our stay at the Ter Brughe! It was quaint and beautiful and our deluxe room and bathroom were massive. The aesthetics of the hotel feel as if you are transported in time, carefully curated to match the feel of the city. The room was gorgeous with wooden beams on the ceiling, massive windows which opened up on the canal side, the Victorian (?) style wallpaper of people frolicking in the country side, portrait frames of Napoleon and other historical figures, ornamental curtains around the bed, old style light fixtures and wooden furniture. It was so beautiful. Travelers may want to be aware that there is no stand up shower - the bathroom we had had a spacious bathtub and a handheld showerhead instead. But don't let that deter you from staying here if you feel strongly about a standup shower. This hotel has so much to offer! We really enjoyed coming back to our hotel to have a drink in the garden area after our days of adventuring. Nice selection of drinks on the menu and great space! The staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. This hotel is run on interactions with people as you leave your room key (an actual key!) with the front desk when you leave the hotel and come back. But this means that there is someone at the front desk 24/7 to help you including to serve you drinks late into the night. Excellent location - we walked everywhere from our hotel! We absolutely loved our stay and would love to stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located in the proximity of the airport. However, the shuttle is free only from the airport to the hotel. If you need to get to the airport, the fee is 6 Euros. We tried to book Bolt or Uber, and no drivers wanted to take us to the city center, so we opted out for the public transport.

Hotel was quiet and peaceful. Just what I wanted. Breakfast was good and my room was cleaned daily.
