"This was our second stay at The Great House. Last time we had a room in the hotel building this time it was in the "annex". Very comfortable, large room. Staff were all really nice, very good breakfast on both days. Enjoyed the cocktails too. Thanks to all the team."

"We stayed 6 nights at this wonderful, homey location! We stayed in the Brewhouse and loved every minute we were there. Made a fire about every evening and read till bedtime...even the 9 year old that was with us! Didn't turn on the TV 1 time! Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but a small town is only 5 minutes away. The only cons were: Breakfast not included unless you are in a B&B room - the brewhouse is not considered to be. And that we couldn't stay longer! Thanks, Rupert!...

"The owner/contact on the site was very friendly and helpful, even when I had to ask him something at 10pm! The accommodation was quiet and comfortable. Everything I needed was there for me. A very good selection for breakfast ...the free-range egg was so tasty! The only drawback was the long distance from the main road, but, I would still go again. Thank you."

"Blanco' exceeded expectations. Large comfortable room, immaculate with helpful, cheerful, polite staff. Hot chocolate and biscuits in room a nice touch and excellent variety at breakfast, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, cereals and hot buffet. Good position for walking into town."

"Turned up at 14:35 after travelling a few hours to be told by receptionist that we couldn’t book in till15:00. She didn’t take our names to check if room was ready just to come back at 15:00 hrs. Not what we wanted to hear! Other than that the room was fine, breakfast good and breakfast staff very helpful."

"Very big room, perfectly comfortable and bathroom was huge. Shower water pressure was excellent. Some peeling paint in the bedroom and noise insulation not as good as it could be - we could clearly hear the entertainment in one of the conference rooms underneath our room. Nice to have 2 types of pillow and book with ideas for what to do in the local area. Some of the reception spa staff were not as welcoming as the rest of the hotel (beautician was very helpful).
