The area immediately around the house was well-groomed, but the area across the road---well... The house was well-stocked with paper products, towels and soap. The kitchen had ample cookware, but we suggest to future guests to bring their own frying pans if they want to cook anything. Our group of four...

"If you like animals, relaxation, and history this rental is perfect for you! Despite weather that was not ideal, we had the best time with our kids visiting the animals. We did not want to leave. We have no complaints about anything and the owner was very kind. There is a restaurant only a few minutes (maybe 5?) away called Windy Corner Market that was so good we ate there 3x in two days."

The home itself is an old home with all the modern amenities while keeping the old spirit. The back porch was a great place to hang out and just listen to the sounds of the farm. "Great place to stay in a country setting. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and spacious. There were mares and foals in the pasture across the driveway. Some of the mares and foals would come up to the fence so you could pet them. You could walk up the driveway to the barn to see other horses. Adirondack chairs were provided which was great to sit and relax in the afternoon while enjoying the view. Definitely a 5 star experience."
