"The ryokan and the area surrounding it was absolutely beautiful. The staff are very kind and will take the time to assist as much as possible, even with the language barrier. Breakfast and dinner is included. A free shuttle is available for pickup/dropoff between 2 stations at certain times, inquire when making the reservations. The room with private bath is absolutely gorgeous. Would definitely visit again."

"This property does take some effort to get to. But the stay was pleasant. Buffet was delicious and onsen baths were amazing. The ryokan experience is very interesting and comfortable for us. Staff were very helpful. One thing to mention is it is not very tattoo-friendly. They politely ask you to cover tattoos in common areas, including restaurants."

"Absolutely wonderful place to stop on the way to Koyasan. I will admit when I showed up at the inn I was later than expected, had walked many miles, and was in quite a bad mood. The welcome I received changed all of that. They took me straight to my room and gave me tea and treated me like I was part of their family. I had the best meal of my time in Japan at this inn. The onsen was the perfect temperature and felt so good on my sore muscles. If you are maki my the journey to Koyasan this inn is...

"The property is outstanding and the staff are very willing to help if you are amenable to no chairs in the room and only sitting on the floor. Also the room has no shower, so you either must use shower during your private time or if you miss you time slot you have no choice but to use it during public time. For ladies two showers, so at worse you will share with one other person."

"The staff was very nice! They didn’t really speak english, but it was easy to communicate with them. The location is nice and the room was very authentic and pretty! The breakfast was nothing that we expected. It was awesome!! When staying here, you must eat breakfast here. Not an american style breakfast! "Pro: 5 minutes walk to subway station, 7-11 and Lawson nearby, quiet neighborhood, standard toiletries all provided including laundry detergent, decent kitchen supplies, spacious room, balcony, Con: small area where bathroom sink is to put down toiletries, esp for a family of 4. No hook in bathroom to hang up towels or bathrobe. Instructions as to how to operate the hot water system and washer would be helpful. Construction nearby so kind of noisy in the morning."
