There is a woman who works on reception and was also serving in the restaurant at one point, she went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. "This hotel met my needs perfectly for a 5 day stay in Edinburgh. I had just gotten off a 7 day hike in the Higlands and needed their laundry facilities to clean up my hiking clothes. Having the kitchen available meant I did not have to go out for every meal and could eat a little healthier because I was preparing the food. Being on the royal mile meant I was close to the train station for 2 day trips, and close to town to see sights. I was frustrated that I had to drag my packed bag 10 blocks to get to the airport bus. Even if I would have grabbed a taxi I think I would have had to drag the bag 6 blocks. . . hard for me a 68 year old woman. All else was great."
