"This was my first "self service" hotel. It was very clean, even though it's next to the tain station, there is virtually no outside noise. There is a small convience store and a really good restaurant close by and a 20 minute train ride into Bern"

"We stayed in the Rhubarb room and lived the complete kitchen with a huge wet bar! Also having a coffee table and comfortable chairs/sofa was nice. Plenty of beds (5) for most families. The check in process was slightly confusing. Read the email carefully. The entry door was tough to find but it is right by the Restaurant du Banneret. The location was perfect, right by the Chateau. "Lesson learned - Don't book a stay with a property that doesn't have a single person on-site or on-call to help. By the time we arrived our check-in email from the Guesthouse still had not arrived in our email inbox. This email is the only way in to your room, as it holds the lockbox code which holds your key.
