"The ladies on reception were so lovely. Friendly and very helpful advising on gpod eating places and places to visit. The bedroom was clean with very comfortable bed. Sadly the hotel is in need of tlc it showed the signs of great potential and could offer a wonderful eating and drinking venue if developed. The price was very reasonable given the standard of the amenities and a place to certainly use if only needing a base"

"Lovely grounds - on the outskirts of the town. The atmosphere peaceful and rural. With traditional mansion house features and modem appointments - a small and relaxing hotel - with enjoyable breakfast. À walk into town - or through the grounds to the river."

"Very convenient location for our requirements. The bed was very comfortable and we had a fabulous sleep. The bar staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the whisky choice was amazing. Breakfast had to be pre-ordered and we weren’t sure how it would be, but it was excellent. Especially the Greek yoghurt and berries with honey. Portions were generous and we struggled to eat everything."

"Friendly efficient staff, nice restaurant with a good breakfast. Handy for both the train and bus stations. My only problem was the room I was in, although it had almost all that I needed, was a bit small."
