"Asked for a non smoking room and could smell smoke every morning, and they changed my room next day still smoke smell terrible hotel for taking care of customer"

"The towels are old and look dirty, same with bed sheets. The toilet and showers seem need fixing or updated. "

"There’s free welcome drink provided. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to put some of our souvenir that must be kept chilled in their main fridge (because the one in our room was not cold). They also allowed us to keep them until the afternoon before we departed from Jogja even when we already checked out. On a side note, good communication from the hotel too. I accidentally left my neck pillow and chatted with the hotel and they found it. I will collect the pillow...

"With all the greenery and plants everywhere, this hotel is beautiful to walk into. Check in was great, we arrived early and were able to leave our bags until it was time to check in. We also did this on our last day, as we had a late flight. The room was adequate, comfy bed and big shower. Just be aware that there is a frosted glass panel between the bathroom and bedroom (in the room we were in anyway). You can't see in, but it is bright into the bedroom during the night - if that bothers you....

"The hotel is close to Malioboro Street. However, it's a little set back from the street, so it's not noisy. There are many shopping stores, but not many restaurants. Many people eat at food stalls. You can also go to the Royal Palace and Tamansari within a 30 minute walk. My room was on the 5th floor, WiFi connection was not good and sometimes disconnected."

"Staff indifferent to downright rude, bathroom is just a wet room only hot water, well tepid at best, was the shower. Garden Hotel, must have been an estate agent who came up with that discription. Whoever gave it a * rating must have had a severe knock on the head to see any !!"

"I enjoyed my 6 days there. I was a solo female tourist. The staff always went beyond to meet my needs. The electric sockets in Indonesia are unique in that they are round and sunken. So my square universal plug did not fit. Their engineering quickly found a spare conversion socket for me to use. They were happy to fill up my water bottle with ice whenever I asked. "I love the place, really! But the staff and breakfast was disappointing. I wanted to have a Cappuccino and she told me that she was alone and the other will come at 10 am. But she has time to play with her mobile phone all the time. Well, it was breakfast time. Suppose to have Tea and any kind of coffee ready during the time. But the property is awesome. Quite and antique."

This hotel made me feel like staying in "slum" but the price same as i paid 3 stars hotel in Surabaya. I didn't understand why this hotel can get 3 stars? I prefer to pay more for other hotel if know before, the pictures are just too looking good!"
