"Highly recommend this lovely family run hotel in a quiet location outside rethymno. Beach is down the road. The entire staff/family was warm, welcoming and professional. All our needs were addressed with joy and compassion. The hosts offered detailed advice about all the great places to visit. My husband had a health issue and we were pointed to the best clinic. As well, due to the issue, extra care was taken in our room. Truly a gem of a small hotel!"

"The Savus Boutique Hotel was perfect. The service and attentiveness by Lucia, Alexandria, and Gianni’s? Were great. Perfect size, big enough to be a full business- small enough for personal attention. English is spoken by staff. Breakfast on the large patio is perfect for several guests at a time, and the food was a great combo of cold and hot dishes plus prepared eggs! Location is right at the line between old town and the newer section. We will stay there again if our travels take us to Crete."

"The apartment was clean, well equipped, and conveniently located with a pleasant ocean view. It was within a 15-minute walk to the old city and in close proximity to some of the best restaurants in Rethymno. However, a significant drawback was the persistent and highly unpleasant sewage smell that would permeate the entire apartment whenever the toilet was flushed or the shower was used. "From the very start till the time we checked out, the staff were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The hotel was of high quality and the rooms were modern and spacious. The pool was an added bonus. The hotels location is within 5 mins walk to the restaurants and bars and only a 10 min walk to the beach. Overall we had the perfect stay and will 100% be re-visiting in the future. "

"Amazing hotel, located next to the beach (just need to cross the road). Very friendly staff and attentive. One evening there were rain and they offered us umbrella and there was other small details to make our stay better. We had a room with sea view. Room was clean, had fridge and electric stove, so you can warm your food. Also they had plates and cutlery. There is no parking next to the hotel, but we find a space just in 2 minutes walk. City centre is in walking distance. "

Working with the front desk, staff was awkward. During each breakfast, there was a gentleman sitting on the edge of the patio, smoking cigarettes the entire time we were eating. "The view from our window was perfect. Perfect location and very walkable. The downside was that the noise/music from the disco across the way was very loud all night long. It did not stop until 3am. The room is on the small side, but clean and fresh."
