"Breakfast was fine but as you would expect when they prepare the food earlier, it's very difficult to keep the food warm unfortunately."

"Hotel although rough around the edges is a pretty clean and well equipped stay. Staff are quick to resolve issues as they are a common occurrence. The place on general has a nod to being very upmarket however it’s let down by its understaffed areas lack of internal communication and general state of repairs and upgrading. "The Station Hotel has a very convenient location—right across from the train station / Union Square and within walking distance of the city centre. The price is reasonable, which makes it appealing for budget travellers. However, I wouldn’t stay here again. The room showed clear signs of wear and tear, particularly the bathroom door, which was falling apart at the bottom, and missing grout in many of the floor tiles. The double bed was actually two singles pushed together at different heights, which made it uncomfortable. Because of its location, the hotel was very noisy, and it seemed there was little soundproofing between the windows and the road meaning we barely slept. Staff were friendly, but the reception area had an overpowering smell. Non-smokers will also find it unpleasant that people smoke right at the main entrance. Overall, while the location and price are good, the room condition, noise, and entrance environment mean I would not return."

"We had a really comfortable stay in a very spacious room which included 2 double beds and 2 large reclining chairs and still had room for furniture, closet space was good and bathroom layout was suitable but could be freshened up. Facilities were really good we used the pool and sauna etc whilst there, changing rooms were clean and spacious. We ate breakfast the choice was phenomenal something for everyone, the pancake making machine is a fun addition for the BIG kids 😂😂😂. Was a very relaxed and fun weekend away overall was a really great first time experience. Staff were very friendly and accommodating was also very well priced for standard. "
