"We loved staying at this hotel with a room overlooking Lake Superior and with all the canal park had to offer. My husband was able to see a ship leave through the aerial vertical lift bridge on the canal. At the brewery next door, there were live cameras monitoring the port entrance, lighthouse and bridge. It was a great stay!"

"Enjoyed our stay in room #5 with view of lift bridge from window. It requires carrying luggage up a floor. Location is perfect on lake path with a short walk to canal drive for shops and food plus seeing the ship/lift bridge in action. We appreciate the staff allowing us to use parking space a few hours past check out to enjoy the location. "

"Great value for a unique stay! Loved the charm of the building and room. Everything seemed clean/tidy, well kept, and fairly quiet. Not a problem sharing the 2 bathrooms in hall, that were close by. Perk there was a sauna, and 2 bars on site. Would stay again! "
