"Sauna was great, the futons were not comfortable and bathroom was very dated. "

"We spent 2 nights in our first visit to Kiso-Fukushima and we had a wonderful time at this onsen. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The breakfast and dinner were great as well. If you’re looking for a down to earth experience I’d suggest this Onsen. We will be back…"

"Great hostel"

"Great hotel with public bath. Rooms are ok and breakfast was ample on the menu. Nice stay."

"Beautiful vista, food was great (strongly recommend doing a dinner reservation AND a breakfast reservation) owner was extremely kind and generous. He spoke better English than I spoke Japanese, which made it extremely easy to meet in the middle. 10/10 experience."

"Interesting stay. Had fun lighting the fire and cooking our food over it."

"A real honor to be able to experience this ryokan ! The room had a private Onsen which was already full and ready for us to use when we arrived. Everything was clean and comfortable The food and breakfast also very delicious So lucky we got to stay here during our trip and we experienced Narai Juku before all tourists came to sight see . Certainly a highlight"

"Was a very nice hotel to stay at. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the amenities and loved that you could wear your yukata for your entire stay. A very comfortable and relaxing stay."

"Renovated hotel, very nice, good value "

"Comfortable hotel in a stunning location The outdoor onsen was very nice "

"Everything was very clean and the staff were helpful in checking me in. I let them know in advance I would be late and they guided me. It was also useful to have a convenience store nearby."

"快適に過ごせました。"

"I came with little expectations, but was really pleased with this hotel. The outdoor onsen is really nice. The corridor is a bit noisy when someone walks by. Some dust and spider webs in the top shelfs but nothing really bad"

"Great place to stay! Even with the shared bathroom which I never did before- everything was great!!"

"Great for quick stop near the highway"

"We enjoyed our stay at susuranso, The staff were so helpfull , even organised tickets for komagatake ropeway for us. The hotel is very clean and has great views of the surrounding mountains."

"Lovely hotel in a very tranquil setting. Wonderful french food with local Japanese ingredients."

"Nice view to a beautiful garden and mountains from our room. It’s an old building which could be charming but some repairs would be nice."
