"This place was great for our trip to Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. Our reservation was for 5 adults and 4 kids- I looked at hotels near the area but given the family size getting a private property is a lot more ideal. The house was clean and spacious. Enough bathrooms and sleeping area. The only thing that stood out to me was the smell of the water to shower-like a coper smell. Besides that, clean bathrooms and towels available. "Great place to stay before going for Yosemite"

"We stayed 4 days. Pros: This property is in a great location minutes from the south gate of the Yosemite park. Beautiful on the inside and out. Our room was appointed with just about everything you could need and nicely decorated. Staff was always very helpful, friendly and provided great service. Our 1 breakfast's/ 1 lunch/2 dinners/ 1 at Jackalope's Bar & Grill (Embers was closed) were very good tasty. ( Rib-eye steak was great and served correctly.) Clam chowder was very good. Thai Chicken lettuce wraps were yummy. We enjoyed other dishes too. We booked spa massages that were great. We very much enjoyed the pools and hot tubs. Cons: Sadly we loved where a room was located so we did not report the problems we had with the room to staff. Our bed was not very comfortable and we had 2 queens beds and the other was no better. The toilet was so low to the floor we thought it was for kindergarten students. The day before we left the refrigerator stopped working. One of the plugs in the bathroom didn't work and could not be reset. ( We reported this) We had breakfast our last morning and the buffet food was cold and there were other issues. I told staff and he said would you like something else. Would we stay at Tenaya Lodge again, yes we would."
