"It seems like the hotel just recently open the staff all though pleasant was unable to fix issues with the hotel other than just apologizing for the inefficiency WiFi often went in and out construction was always going on the hotel closes its gates after midnight and the toll booth was inaccessible for your taxi to safely drop off at lobby area after 10pm, had to walk down the hill multiple times down a dark rocky road not easy when the guess are elderly or physically challenged.."

"This hotel is conveniently located few minutes away from train station and city bus stations. Room was very quiet and clean. Manager Rui was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was a big plus, We stayed 2nights, highly recommended."

"Unique building, quiet area( except for local dogs barking) good parking. Wonderful outdoor space. The hosts lives there, has dogs. They are well behaved (they weren't barking) horses too! Playground, trampoline, soccer net. Beautiful little garden with a chess set. A kitchen available. The breakfast was exceptional, she put actual love into the food."

"Spacious well maintained accommodation. Clean and organized. Welcomed by our hostess and fresh home baked treats upon our arrival. Kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. ( stove top, microwave, pots pans dishes for a crowd!), air fryer, coffee machines etc. We loved having a small outdoor space to relax after a full day of exploring. It is walking distance to local shops and main grocery store for food and wine. Historic Centre and castles are walking distance if you like a good hike, at least 30 min. But remember you then need to climb the hills to the castles when you get there! Very reasonable to use Bolt car service to get anywhere if you prefer. It is walkable from bus station but not if you are hauling luggage ( roads and sidewalks not luggage wheel friendly) take a Bolt for a few Euro and save your wheels."

"A big "Thank You" to Douglas and his team. There is nothing they have not thought of or taken care of. The rooms and living areas were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The attention to detail is very clearly shown by the interesting decor. Douglas laid out a great itinerary for us that included some sites that the bus tours would never visit. Casa da Estefânea has a great location to explore the Sintra area. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming stay in this wonderful region of Portugal."
