I have stayed here before and love how convenient it is. My only complaint this time is they did not clear the car park of the snow. It snowed for 2 days and there was close to a foot of snow.

The guy on check-in was really nice, and let us check-in early so we could get out of the snow. The only problem we had was the light - we had a room facing the swimming pool, and the lights were on all night.

Horrible lay out of rooms (toilet just where you put your head to sleep!!!!!???) I will post photos & reviews as it is just not right! The beddings smelled dirty as if not cleaned (human smells) an overall chemical smell in the room and corridor that did set off asthma attack and crying red eyes and sore throat. I went at the reception to ask what this was and I was told some of the rooms had just been going through refurbishing and painted! The lovely man at reception changed our room on opposite side right a the other end where the chemical smell wasn`t to be found witnessing the smell for himself noting it was tickling his throat as soon as he arrived in our room, nonetheless the 2nd room was smelling like dirty human as the previous and dodgy lay out with the bed headrest right by the toilet only separated by a sliding glass door that was not closing. also the windows were of very poor quality and sipping cold air into room and the room was very noisy with traffic (cars lorries buses very busy road esp early in the morning) we could hear the traffic louder than London and Paris where we live, bare in mind we were on top floor! Best bit are the lovely views and breakfast(make your own waffles) was great as for the rest I can not recommend this hotel. HEALTH & SAFETY alone causing me massive asthma attack this is NOT to PROFESIONAL to subject costumers to TOXIC environment whilst other nontoxic room are available! Next time visiting Akureyri I will not stay in this hotel

The hotel is nice, however, the TV in our room was old and only had Icelandic channels, whereas other hotels around Iceland even in the most remote area had smart TVs. Also the TV was facing the shower and not in front of the bed. Staff during breakfast was nice and helpful. Hotel is in a nice location, close to the town

This hotel was a little bit away from the main part of the town. You can definitely walk to the town from here but it is uphill to get back to the hotel. Nice rooms. Dining options at hotel. So many great places to go to around the hotel

Room had a strange layout where the wash basin and mirror were located outside the toilet, just next to the door. Anyone who needs to use the mirror in the morning will wake the other occupants in the room. Otherwise, the room was clean.

Hotel was great and staff was friendly. Located right on the edge of the city so it was fairly quiet with easy walking or driving access to the main city.

I had to cancel our trip due to illness and bought insurance to cancel. They would not refund my 2 nights stay even though it was canceled 7 weeks before our departure. Way too much money for 2 nights. I hope they enjoyed pocketing the money for any empty hotel room. Thanks and no thanks. Gross.

We were unable to get to our accommodations because the roads were closed in both directions. Ws soon as we learned that the roads were closed until late the next day we called. They said to have Expedia call them. So we did just that. 24 hours later roads were still closed and it was impossible to get there. They would NOT refund either of our nights. Very upsetting.

I have no complaints about the hotel, what bothered me is that there was a storm the day after being at the hotel and the people at the reception said that for them there were no problems in making the refund for that night that we had to I talked to the people we booked, I emailed Cheap Tickets and the hotel and they are still discussing whether to refund or not. While Booking did it to my daughter right away.

Property was great. Room was a good size. We were upgraded and had amazing views of the town and mountains. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good although a little pricey for what it was. Would definitely stay here again.
