"This is an old property that has been recently updated. It does not have parking or an elevator, but it is well located, only a few blocks from the waterfront, a block from the grocery store, and across the street from a park and restaurants. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even packing a breakfast for us when our airline schedule required departure before breakfast was served. The front desk lady even carried my 22 kilo suitcase up two flights of stairs to my room, when clearly I was unable. They offer free water, coffee and a bottle of wine with every stay. While the rooms are small, each floor has an open living room area to sit, read and chat. There is also a small business centre with a computer. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is full and hearty, with very attentive staff to ensure that food is replenished and tables are cleared."

"Checking in was the most confusing process I've ever encountered. They still have last year's check in instructions up, which are no longer valid. It was a nightmare finding the front desk. The apartment was clean and okay. The kitchen is not equipped to make a proper meal. Washing machine doesn't work. Sadly we were very disappointed."

"This is a beautiful property in a perfect location in Setubal. We could see the beach from every room, and the neighborhood was very walkable. The host, Lucien, was a dream - helpful and charming and patient and responsive. If I were to return to Setubal, I would stay here again as my first choice.There are many restaurants within walking distance, as well as the municipal market and Pingo Doce (a fabulous grocery store). People in the neighborhood were helpful and friendly. I have nothing but good things to say about the apartment.Fun fact, the beautiful wallpapers in all of the main rooms were designed and printed by Lucien. Animal photos on the walls were taken by his father, a wildlife photographer. The apartment was beautifully decorated and immediately comfortable.Thanks, Lucien, for all you did to make our stay memorable. We appreciate you more than. you know."
