We just checked out today (7/24/25) from our honeymoon. I see what people say online about the hotel being outdated. That being said, it is kept very clean including the pools, restaurant and rooms. The staff are outstanding and the location is quiet in a beautiful neighborhood that is conveniently close to the marina as well as a few beaches. We walked to 4-5 of them and saw (and went) to a lot of restaurants that are close by. Another good thing is that it is truly adult only with no screaming kids. I love kids but sometimes you just want to be in a quiet location. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself needs a complete makeover, very dated, looks like it hasn’t been updated since the early 90’s, but is made up for the cleanliness, we stayed in a triple room which had amazing views from the balcony (one of the best) no tea or coffee facilities provided with paper cups and a kettle, main light not working in the room not enough sockets,breakfast was ok the selection basic, spa facilities was disappointing as mentioned needs updating, outside pool was good, lovely location small beach ten mins away with a nice restaurant/bar, marine not to far away cabs reliable and a good price to get around all in all if you’re looking for a luxury spa hotel then this is not for you, if you’re looking for basic with great location then you re good to go as it is very clean and the staff are friendly enough, this should be rated 3 with a good make over 4 or even a 5

Nice hotel from the inside. Room was very spacious but it needs a good renovation on the outside. The staff hardly smiled. Everyone looks sad and grumpy which makes it feel a little bit unwelcoming.

Lovely stay . We were there on a weekday and it was so quiet and calm which we loved. We were able to Uber to old town and the strip. The room was very clean and spacious. Comfy beds. We got a room with a patio and side beach view which was very worth it. The breakfast was convenient but not my favorite.

Word down hotel

The breakfast was good. The staff in the hotel and reception didn't look at us and said hello. The pool area was nasty with dirty and broken sunbeds. Poolbar had really dirty water. The furniture on the balcony was worn out and gave splinters. The room had a fridge but it didn't work. Don't stay at this place.

Hotel was great though as other reviews have mentioned, the gym and the sun loungers are tired. The pool area would be improved with new furniture. The multi-gym machine is basically not functioning. Rooms are spacious and sea view with massive balcony was one of the best features. Possibly a lounger could be added and the wooden chairs in 212 would have benefited with seat and back cushioning. Breakfast was great and up there with best in our experience. The selection was more than adequate and having a freshly cooked (hot) breakfast was better than cold bacon and sausages typically found in buffet style trays. We ate some hot snacks in hotel too for lunch which we both enjoyed. In the evening we ventured out to various eateries around the hotel and found a variety of restaurants which will appeal to different budgets. The area Sao Rafael is quite affluent and the villas and hotels in immediate area all appear to be very high end. The area to me felt very safe and quiet. I didn’t expect as many restaurants within 15 min walk so we only ventured down to Marina and Old Town for food on a couple of occasions. Bolt taxi to old town square was charged at €3.50 (economy taxi max3 passengers) Walk to marina is 15 mins though there is a hill on way down and funnily enough on return 😀 I’m scoring the Maritur an 8 overall. Seems to be the consensus and they might be ok with that. For a little investment in pool area and gym, they would easily be a 9.

1. Hôtel vieillissant mais entretenu. 2. Propreté des chambres impeccable. 3. La réception est réactive et a l'écoute. 4. La piscine est propre et bien entretenue. 5. La terrasse manque cruellement d'ambiance malgré la vue sur mer (un peu plus de musique serait bienvenue, sans mettre l'ambiance d'un boom boom bar). 6. Le vrai bémol c'est la restauration : le personnel est peu aimable. Remarques déplacées pour 4**** (renaclent à préparer en petite quantité et forcing à consommer en grand format). L'offre de restauration est très limitée et de qualité médiocre (pizza surgelée). 7. Hôtel proche des belles plages, parfait pour des vacances au calme.
