"Really unique accommodation in an old castle village! Driving in is something else, with all those narrow cobblestone laneways. Staff were super friendly. Our room was quite small, but had everything we needed. "

I really hate to write a bad review and I always give the benefit of the doubt and maybe they were just having a bad time except the room did smell bad. There was no hot water in the morning and when my wife tried to take a shower, she was never able to get the hot water working the night before. Location was great, but as for the rest, if you stay here in this town, don’t pick this hotel."

"Very clean rooms and the whole hotel is in great condition. Marvao is a very special and nice village within an old fortress on top of a mountain about 840 meters over the sea level. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely stay!"

"Poorly maintained hotel We did not have even hot water for the shower They did not tell us it was a problem with the water heater when we checked in, we may have asked for a refund and look for another hotel, but obviously was too late by the time we found a little note they left in the room.
