An oasis of calm away from the crowds

We wanted an hotel to take friends to, one with a pool and good food. Sandy and I found a good but strenuous walk to the 3 monasteries whilst the ladies relaxed by the pool. Food both nights was varied and excellent. We chose half board as there was little or no choice to eat in the village.

Todella siisti, pieni ja tunnelmallinen hotelli sekä puhdas uima-allas! Täydellinen hotelli pariskunnalle, mutta ei ehkä paras valinta lapsiperheille. Ensimmäisessä huoneessa ilmastointi ei toiminut aikaisemmin päivällä olleen myrskyn vuoksi, mutta vaihtoivat huonettamme yhden yön jälkeen, ja ensimmäiseksi yöksi toivat tuulettimen helpotukseksi. Sijainti rauhallinen ja kaukana Mallorcan turistirantojen tunnelmasta. Autolla 20 minuutissa Palmassa, ja viereisestä Llucamajorin kylästä löytyy kivoja ravintoloita sekä ruokakauppoja. 30 minuutissa ajaa kivoille pienemmille rannoille, joilla paikallisetkin viihtyvät. Aamupala kallis, mutta hyvin saa tehtyä aamiaisen omalle parvekkeelle vaikka kaupasta ostetuilla ruuilla, joiden säilytys onnistuu minibarissa. Palvelu erinomaista! Unohdimme yhden tavaran ja lähettivät sen postilla perässä.

Beautiful location

The hotel building is beautiful; great character. We had a balcony facing a beautiful view of the countryside and mountains. Some rooms at the back would not have a good view, but they seemed unoccupied while we were there, possibly because the hotel was only half full. If planning to go in high season ask which rooms are available. The leisure facilities were good; two lovely pools, the indoor one being well heated. Good steam room. Food in the restaurant at dinner was good, but we noticed one or two things were not cleared away by following breakfast= time, eg. ice buckets, and floor had not been swept. Breakfast options were not explained to us so not clear what the continental breakfast choices were( which was included in our room rate) The terrace at lunch time was a pleasant pkace to eat and served a bar menu until 4.00pm but closed then until 7.00 pm. There was one other restaurant in the village which looked interesting and locally used. Overall, a lovely location and a comfortable hotel but not 4 star service.

Paratiisi kukkuloilla.

Aivan huikea kokemus. Hienoin näköala mitä olemme koskaan saaneet omalta parvekkeelta. Asiakaspalvelu erittäin ystävällistä. Ruoka Michelin palkittua, hinta laatusuhde kohdillaan. Älyttömän hienot näköalat altaalta. Oma pieni paratiisi josta näet Palmaan asti.

Nice spot in countryside but hard to find!

I originally chose Reco' de Randa because we were in Mallorca for a wedding, and the hotel was conveniently about equidistant from the rehearsal dinner and wedding (in different directions). It is located in a pretty spot in a very small town in the countryside. The hotel was pleasant. Staff was friendly and helpful; one volunteered to solve an issue during our stay that saved us paying for an additional room. We had a delicious lunch plus two very nice breakfasts out on the terrace (with delightful view). Parking was tricky, however. One either had to park in a very cramped upper lot, up a narrow, winding lane which was difficult to find. Or one could park in a much larger lower lot which, however, was gated and locked at midnight. We arrived during the day, so it was easier to find the hotel (though not that easy-- signage could be improved). But other family members arrived late at night and had quite a difficult time finding the hotel and that tricky upper parking lot. Additionally, one needed a key (which we gave them) to enter a small back entrance after midnight. Practically impossible for them to find without our help. (We were shown by an employee during the day.)

Au calme

Après avoir attendu environ 1 heure que notre chambre soit prête sans que l'on nous propose autre chose que d'attendre, nous avons découvert notre chambre avec salon attenant, juste au-dessus de la terrasse du restaurant, donc difficile d'ouvrir les fenêtres car vue directe sur les tables et les convives... Et vice-versa. Résultat, chambre assez sombre et triste, malgré la vue sur le village et les montagnes. Mauvais état de la douche, dommage pour un 4 étoiles. Literie très très dure, mais certains préfèrent cela. Portes qui grincent ou qu'on ne peut pas ouvrir complètement car derrière, il y a la table de nuit. Petit-déjeuner très quelconque et personnel qui change la commande sans demander notre avis, en nous disant simplement "il n'y en a plus". D'accord, mais on demande, non ? Surtout dans un 4 étoiles. Le restaurant ne nous a pas sublimé non plus. La piscine extérieure avec vue sur la montagne est très agréable.

Vi havde 9 dejlige dage på hotellet. Utrolig flot beliggenhed, venligt personale, og vi blev endda opgraderet på værelset ved ankomst. Der er fin vandresti til tre klostre fra Randa, hvor hotellet ligger (spørg i reception for kort). God mad i restauranten, wifi til tider ret ustabilt, kølig og ren swimmingpool med super udsigt og fuglesang. Kan klart anbefales, hvis man gerne vil bo lidt afsides og har bil til at komme rundt omkring på det øvrige af øen!

Beautiful hotel in stunning location!

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. The room was spacious, well maintained and had a beautiful view over the landscape. I felt that the area was relaxing, peaceful and also conveniently located for travelling to either coast of Mallorca. My partner and I loved being at the hotel, and only wished we could stay for longer! Also, the swimming pool areas were lovely, relaxing and the clientele of the hotel was nice. There were no screaming kids, and seemed to attract only middle to older couples which made this hotel particularly relaxing for us. Everyone was friendly, the staff were welcoming and did everything they could to help us when needed. The cleaning staff were fantastic, and we returned to our room every evening to find it had been cleaned with fresh towels etc. Great.

Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit sehr gutem Restaurant

Freundlicherweise hatten wir ein Zimmer-Upgrade. Das Zimmer im Neubau war absolut in Ordnung mit einer sehr schönen weiten Aussicht über das ruhige, malerische Dorf Rande und zum Gebirge im Westen. Innen und Aussenpool erschienen sehr gepflegt, auch das Restaurant hatte mallorquinischen Charme und eine wunderschöne Terrasse, die wir aufgrund des Wetters leider nicht nutzen konnten. Die Dame an der Rezeption spricht auch deutsch und russisch. Es befindet sich etwas im Landesinneren am Rande eines hübschen Dorfes (dort haben wir aber keine Einkaufsmöglichkeit gefunden). Viele Radfahrer kommen auf den Puig de Randa, von dort hat man eine phänomenale Aussicht in den Süden und auf das Meer. Mit dem Auto ist man schnell auf den großen Strassen, bzw. in Palma.

Nettes ruhiges Hotel mit alt und Neubau

Wir hatten ein Standardzimmer unterm Dach mit einer großen Terrasse , die Ausstattung war im alten Mallorca Stil aber sehr Sauber und es war alles vorhanden. Das Frühstück hat uns etwas enttäuscht. Am Tisch musste man an Hand einer Checkliste die Frühstückartikel ankreuzen. Die Getränke musste man sich am Automat holen.(und das für stolze 16€ p.P.) Das erste Abendessen war sehr sehr lecker , wobei mir Zweifel der frischen Zubereitung aufkamen wegen der Schnelligkeit der Auftischung. Was uns auch am zweiten Abend bestätigt wurde.Wir hatten eine Paella für zwei Personen bestellt die nach etwa 14 Minuten gebracht wurde. Es war unsere schlechteste Paella die wir in all den Jahren gegessen haben. Ein dunkelgrüne Reismasse mit wenig Beilage. Die Reklamation ist an dem Servicepersonal nutzlos abgeprallt. Ein Kellner lief abends immer Missgelaunt und fluchend durch die Tische , was uns sehr missfallen hat.

Prachtig uitzicht en lekker kleinschalig

Mooie omgeving, knus hotel, leuke mensen, zeer nette en vrij luxe kamers en faciliteiten (oa bad en massagedouche op kamer). Super hotel om lekker bij te komen. Daarnaast gunstige ligging om vele uithoeken van het eiland te bezoeken.
