COVID-19 has changed the way we travel, but it hasn't stopped our desire to explore. Here are a few tips on how to tackle travel's new challenges:

• Investigate the rules and restrictions in both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock something in.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to lower your mask temporarily for ID purposes.
• Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. When that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed from your bag to be screened.
• Place any personal items (phone, wallet and keys for example) in your carry-on rather than a bin to reduce handling during screening.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also place them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA officer will need to touch and open your bag for inspection.
