Always a wonderful stay. The caretaker is the consummate professional and is also able to be warm, friendly and knowledgeable. The baked goods at breakfast are fabulous. I almost hesitate to rate the property because I don’t want to have more people to contend with when booking our next stay :-). Really a beautiful place to stay and a charming town to explore.

As a former resident of Huntingdon, I always admired the beauty of Gage Mansion. I had the opportunity to book a stay while I visited family in town. I found Nancy to be friendly and accomodating. The mansion and the rooms were stunning. Waking up to breakfast cooking downstairs was amazing. We loved it so much that we plan to stay there every time we visit.

A beautiful Victorian mansion that is in amazing condition. Our room was roomy, beds were comfortable, and Nancy is an amazing host! We were intown for an event so didn't explore much in the area. We will definitely stay there again when we return for the same event!

We had an amazing first time visiting for our Anniversary. The house has so much character and is simply amazing. We LOVED Nancy. Worth The Drive to the PSU Campus

We felt so fortunate to stay at the Gage Mansion while in central Pennsylvania for our son's recent Penn State graduation. While the inn is a 45 minute car ride from campus (and full disclosure: a really hilly, windy one at that), like many PSU parents we found ourselves looking for alternatives miles from campus as State College has a well-known shortage of hotel beds for its big weekends. Innkeeper Nancy is SO lovely. Besides being a wonderful cook and attentive host, she went out of her way to make us comfortable and had suggestions for things to do during our down time. The late arrival check-in process was self-service, but really easy and perfect for our busy schedule. The property negatives were minor ones: Our room was beautifully appointed but small compared to most hotel rooms. On the other hand, our bathroom was roomy, stunning and immaculate. (The fluffy white robes on the door were an appreciated touch.) Breakfast was bountiful and delicious both mornings and Nancy's personal tableside service was impeccable. The inn has an interesting history we appreciated learning about. It's great to see historic properties like this restored and thriving. Despite the tedious distance from campus, the surroundings made up for it and we would gladly book here again should our travels bring us to this part of this beautiful region again.
