"Arrived to a sign in reception saying it is not manned and to ring the bell. Someone came after a short wait and booked me in. "Lovely area. The lake is 10 mins walk from the hotel, down a steep hill, and there are areas by it with sunloungers. The walk around the lake is pleasant and, at about 11km, takes a few hours; you can break at the far end where there are restaurants etc. The standard rooms in the hotel are reasonably sized, but not huge, and we had a king size bed, fridge, safe etc. - though note unless you pay extra for a specific view e.g. lake, then you may get the road side and the road is noisy; with the windows shut we didn't hear it, but the balcony wasn't going to be used. We stayed for 5 nights and I think the room was cleaned just twice in that time. If you want breakfast in the hotel then choose it when booking - to add it later it was 25 euro per person per day..... a bit excessive compared to other similar hotels we've stayed at. Gym - quite reasonable, if not the best; cardio and cable machines. The spa area has 2 saunas - hot and really hot; note this is a "no-bathing-costumes" zone. The pool is a reasonable size but was coldish ... the issue with that is that the jacuzzi is actually just an area of the pool with bubbles.... so not warm at all and so we didn't use it. My main criticism, WIFI, much of the time I could connect but would get disconnected after a few seconds and then could not reconnect; this applied to phones & computer. Reported it but nothing happened. With no mobile signal either, this did mean I couldn't do online stuff I needed to do whilst there."

"We were warmly welcomed and our suitcases carried up for us the second we arrived. We booked a family room which was spacious and clean - nothing fancy but pleasent enough. We appreciated the Aircon during a heatwave! The pool was nice, but very cold. No one else was in the spa area so I enjoyed the quiet! Breakfast was nice, and all the waiting staff were super friendly. The bar looked nice but we didn't have time to use it. It's a shame they didn't have a restaurant in the evening as that would have been useful with a young tired child with us but there was a great restaurant they recommended literally around the corner."

"The hotel was nicely renovated with quirky details but still filled with rich history. We love the small details and the amenities and also the complementary wellness zone with sauna was a nice touch. The location being walking distance to the station was also great because we can carry our heavy luggages without much trouble. And although it is next to a busy road, it wasn’t noisy or chaotic once we entered the building."

"We stayed at this hotel right in the heart of Salzburg with my wife, our three kids, and me. I had accidentally booked a room for only 2 people instead of 5. Upon arrival, the front desk explained the original room was suitable for two guests only. After some discussion, the manager kindly upgraded us to a brand new family room at no extra cost. This generous gesture was amazing and made our stay comfortable right away. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family. The real highlight was during checkout. I had parked in a public lot a block away and asked for validation. The woman at the desk looked concerned and warned that it was a holiday with a market, so cars there are often towed. With three tired kids, we felt stressed. She was incredibly kind and quickly got staff ready to help us find the tow yard. I ran to check first and was hugely relieved — our car was the only one left and hadn’t been towed! I returned to tell her, and the whole team shared our relief with genuine smiles. Their caring attitude made us feel truly supported. The location is unbeatable, perfectly central for walking to all attractions and restaurants. We had a wonderful experience overall and will highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salzburg. Exceptional hospitality! Rating: 5/5 Stars"
