Great staff very helpful

This is far from a 4 stars hotel. It looked better on the pictures than it is. The is no sauna/hammam/spa service available except for an offer 2 half-days a weeks… The breakfast was unavailable to us. It is irritating to pay the “ hotel price” we paid but to be ask to deal with removing the bed sheets and get the trash out. The pool is nice and it is walking distance from the beach and the downtown area with dining options.

We couldn’t get to our room earlier than 5pm even though we came after 3pm. I requested a room on highest floor with best ocean view and got ground floor facing bushes with no A/C - they said rules changed with no notice & I had to pay extra for view! The spa opens from 10am- 8pm, so we had almost no time to use it 1st day, and couldn’t use it the next day! The spa needs a lot of work: peeling paint, stains everywhere, missing tiles! Front desk personnel aren’t the friendliest. I asked to check out late since our room was delayed, & was told it was impossible but for 30€ I was able to stay till noon - so it is all about money! It was basically a sleepover, not an enjoyment of the hotel. Dark hallway by our room - no ceiling light! Dark entrance to the hotel past 8pm - no lights at all! It is advertised as a spa resort but you don’t get neither pool nor spa towels! The grounds need some TLC. The sidewalk from the back of the building was leading to an abandon terrace with large pieces of steel just sitting in the corner - dangerous and misleading. The front desk closes at 8pm so in case you need a towel, help, anything - you are on your own. This hotel should never be advertised as a 4 star hotel…most 2 stars! This hotel needs a lot of updates, repairs, proper maintenance and better customer service. I didn’t feel welcomed! I didn’t feel comfortable and I definitely will never stay here again! I definitely overpaid and I will be looking for a partial refund!

Bad room layout

I would have loved to give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately I can’t because of how difficult it was to find parking when we arrived. We spent a long time driving around looking for a space, and it was honestly quite frustrating. That said, once we got to the guesthouse, our experience was very good. The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and it had air conditioning, a minibar, and complimentary coffee and tea. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The location is another plus, as it’s only about a 15 minute drive from San Sebastián. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, but the parking situation is a serious issue that future guests should be aware of. If parking were easier, this would easily be a 5 star experience.
