Additional services such as driveway snow removal, regular trash pickup, and thorough cleaning ensure a relaxed stay without additional labor.

OTHER IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES ABOUT THE PROPERTY
DIRECTIONS
You'll lose cell service along Hwy 4 most of the way from Murphy's to the cabin. **Be sure to download your check in instructions before you lose service**
WEATHER ALERT
We get a lot of snow at the cabin! We have a snow plow contract for the driveway, but in instances of extreme snowfall, you may be required to shovel the front stairs in order to access the front door (shovels right inside lower deck). If you want to use the spa during snow season (check out the last photo to see how much snow we get on the deck), you may also have to clear a path to the spa. Please be mindful of booking the cabin during the winter if you are not in the physical condition to be lifting and shoveling heavy snow. The power also goes out in the winter, and in some cases does not come back on for days. In these cases we can partially refund your stay less than the night(s) you have stayed, or you can see it as an adventure like we do! There are many many LED lanterns (top shelf of laundry room) and we also have a wood-burning fireplace so it will be warm and cozy while you’re waiting for the power to come back on! You can still cook a solid meal with a gas stove/oven although you will have to light it manually with a match or lighter (sparker will not work without power). Or you can get creative with cooking during power outages over the fire or on the outdoor grill.
SNOW CLOTHES
On the upside, we have so many snow clothes available for guest use ranging from 2T to 16 youth, to adult XXL. Also snow boots of many sizes (10 toddler through adult 12). Please do not put wet snow clothes away in the bins or we will have a serious mold issue! Just leave anything that’s still damp hanging by the stairway on the hooks.
FIREPLACE
BEWARE of the hot iron fireplace. Be very careful that kids do not touch the metal or roughhouse near it if you choose to light a fire (firewood and kindling provided). Also NEVER leave snow gloves or boots on or near the wood stove. The plastic and/or rubber will melt. Please do not remove hot ashes from the fireplace. This is a fire hazard. Keep ashes in the fireplace and our cleaning service can take care of it.
