In the outskirts of the village of Asciano, situated in the heart of the famous 'Crete Senesi' and placed in a sunny and panoramic position, we find the small house PIEVE DI SANT'IPPOLITO. The property is composed by a manor house, where the owner family live, an annex available for our guests, and a really ancient church the 'Pieve di Sant'Ippolito' which origins date back to the 4th Century AC. Above the church altar there is a large fresco ascribed to the painter Giacomo Pacchiarotti of Siena, with distinct landmarks of the Umbrian school of the renowned Pinturicchio and Raffaello. On the 13th of August, in the anniversary of St. Ippolito in the church is celebrated mass. Equipped garden and wide swimming pool. All around the buildings a wide garden equipped with table and chairs to eat 'al fresco' and a beautiful swimming pool (size m. 13x8, depth m. 1,20-2,10, somewhat round, with waterfall and a three seats whirlpool bath), to be shared sometimes with the owners, will be at your disposal during the whole year. The village of Asciano, with shops, restaurant and all kind of facilities, can be easily reached through a nice pedestrian path.
