Two luxurious cottages to rent ideal for group of friends or family
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I, and our 4 children, aged between 5 and 13 have had a lovely week at these two cottages. Having our own pool was the highlight of the week for the children and the huge outdoor space where the children could play safely was perfect. Both Kay and Graeme were very friendly and hospitable.Having the separate cottage worked well for my 13 year old son as he brought his play station along so was able to have a couple of hours of his own time.We walked to the local village, Wedmore, which was about 1.6 miles away. The pubs were really nice, our favourite being The Swan. The George was really nice to as managed to get the football on for my son one evening. Everybody is really friendly. The children already miss Lily the resident dog. She popped along from time to time to come and say hello and have a stroke.Overall we would highly recommend this place as it’s great for the whole family "
"The cottage was a gem - excellently located and a delightful rural retreat. More or less everything we needed was provided. A couple of drawbacks, however: the owners' need for privacy borders on obsession, with one bedroom window frosted over and sealed shut (making a dark bedroom even darker), and the double doors also closed off, with a standoffish notice guaranteed to make visitors feel like intruders. Also, advertising a welcome pack on the website and providing a bottle of cider and a small jug of milk seems like a bit of a joke on visitors. Still, on the whole, great value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again."
