Excellent, freshly prepared breakfast. Personable and attentive staff.

We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the wifi worked.

Room was clean but dated and bland. Very stuffy, only curtains at window no blinds or nets. Bed was lovely and clean and very comfortable. Room was described as Superior we would describe it as basic.

This was my second time staying in the hotel and i was disappointed unfortunately... My room had a weird smell when i arrived regardless of the windows being opened. The bathroom had seen better days, it was worn down and when i ran a bath for myself, I had to empty it and clean it myself as there were pubes(not mine) and other dirt floating in it... My duvet cover was dirty, it had some dried out fluid on the bottom side. The breakfast was poorly topped at 8:30 in the morning(still 1.5 hours befor the end of it 11:00) no fried eggs lots of stuff missing and not been topped up.

I had a few bad incidents one after the other there but it was all legit accidents so I can forgive and the team bent over backwards to make up for things. Have stayed before and it was faultless. I literally cannot wait to go again, from the staff to the layout, to the food, the drink, the cleanliness, the quietness. This place one of two of my favourite places I've ever been to. Thanks team!
