The apartment is old but very well kept. Very clean for the limited resources that they have. Kitchen was very equipped and super clean. Towel were rough but clean . Beds very clean. Area is very convenient . Don’t need taxi for anything. You can walk to all the tourist spots and take metro to the airport. The communication with the host was excellent .

Great location, next to the city center! Clean environment, good WiFi. Owner was lovely! Provided us with Taxi transfer and recommendations!! Only thing is that in the early hours like 4am or so, trucks come to collect glass bottles so it’s a little loud.

The location is amazing, nothing is far away. We walked everywhere and saw so many sites. Lots of choices for food and drink and plenty shopping. Local stores as well as recognisable UK high street stores. Property was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our three night stay. This is no reflection on the property itself but the road and going’s on outside the property at all hours of the night are so loud! The hotel opposite loading their glass recycling at midnight and it being collected at 3am by the bin men. Cars tooting their horns in the early hours every night. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend earplugs.

Nice but a bit noisy.

Overall this is a nice space. Clean. Easy check in. Very good service. You just have to be aware that it’s on a street where the traffic noise outside makes seeping quite difficult. We used a white noise machine and two fans but until traffic eases up around 2:30 AM, we were woken frequently. Usually by very loud motorcycles.

Excellent property for the cost! The foldable beds weren't super comfortable, which was the only negative. Otherwise would definitely rent again. The place was clean, spacious, cute kitchen and great standing shower. PERFECT location.

Was located in a great area with a lot of touristy things nearby. Unfortunately the entire apartment I stayed in smelled of cigarettes despite there being a no smoking sign. Additionally could hear a lot of noise from the street , inside the halls and through the ceiling there was a lot of children loudly running around back and forth. The property manager was super responsive and easy to communicate with, leaving clear instructions. I stayed for just one night because I needed a quick and cheap place to stay, but would not recommend for a long stay. You get what you pay for with this one.

Excellent location, so close to the shops and transport. Although it was a studio, we found it quite roomy. Our only issue was, that our neighbour in the next apartment was a bit noisey and rowdy so not very suitable for our young family.

The main door doesn’t shut properly. The key box has no label so I had to use the code on every box. I was told I could get a late check out and then was rudely kicked out before check out time. Then the hotel ignored me when I tried to find out what happened. Clearly just wants to scam tourists. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We arrived late in the evening and the lighting is not very good. It has a motion sensor but would only stay on for a short period making it difficult to see the door to unlock. This property was not what we expected at all. It’s a loft that they set up 3 additional ‘cots’ for us (i thought it was a 1 bedroom).Nonetheless, we made it work. However the ceiling paint is pealing off, the windows aren’t framed, 2 of the barstools were broken, the kitchen wasn’t very clean (bar/counter was dirty & there was food/crumbs on the barstools). It was acceptable for our layover in Athens but I’m not sure I’d stay there again.

Missed the mark

So we’ll start with the pros: - great air conditioning - great hot water - amazing amount of space for price and location - responsive management Cons: - It was dirty. Long dark hair on the floor and even found a couple on top of the bed, though the bedding seemed pristine otherwise - The property is tired and needs some attention. Again, the price and location are stellar, but could use freshening up in areas that makes it seem dirty. - There are three big windows letting in lots of light(good). One of them doesn’t have curtains, which means that I could lay in bed and look into the apartment next door (not good). It really could be great, but it’s just not. I expect basic cleanliness and some privacy.

Nous avons grandement apprécié l’emplacement (par contre aucune affiche ne montre le nom Plaka Heart hotel) L’hôte par le réseau WhatsApp nous a donné de bonnes photo et explication. Une odeur nauséabonde, quelques fois, sortait des conduits d’eau. Le comptoir bar est 25 cm trop haut (par rapport au stools qui étaient là. Drôle de concept. Mais tout ceci ne sont que des détails l’emplacement merveilleux.

Good location. Noisy from traffic. No coffee and tea in kitchen. Towels were never changed the whole week we were there. Free toiletries were nice in bathroom. Shower unpredictable when washing hair kept going hot to cold. Overall though the apartment was very spacious and met our needs for our week in athens. The taxi driver was abit too talkative when you have just been on a long flight but he dis explain everything we needed to know for the apartment and another driver was sent to pick us up on departure and on time.

Being a solo traveller I was a little disconcerted about the laneway access at first but it was an absolutely perfect & safe location. In the heart of Plaka, close to everything. Dimitri was terrific with communication & the apartment was spacious & airy. The access is just near the Electra Palace Hotel so good to go up to their rooftop terrace for a drink & watch the sunset over the Acropolis. I’d definitely stay here again.
