Whimsy - Gorgeous home close to Atlanta in Decatur

Beautiful historic home with plenty of space for families, groups of friends and business execs. Downtown Decatur is less than a mile away and Emory Campus is just a few miles away.
The space
Sumptuously appointed with charm and whimsy. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, the home is perfect for a family stay or business travelers. Areas for gathering punctuated by nooks for escape. Super fast wifi, Cable TV, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. All beds are firm with high thread count cotton sheets and down duvets and pillows. On the second floor, a moving bookcase room with a large shuttered arched window, is perfect for reading.

Large backyard has a swing and a slide from the tree platform. The property backs up to a forest where owls can often be heard and Red-Tailed Hawks spotted. The woods behind the house are fun to explore and a walking path is accessed by going down the street and looping around.
Guest access
This is an historic home with three levels. Guests have access to all three levels. The home can be accessed by a lockbox with a key via the front or back door. The back porch has plenty of seating for Whimsy guest use. The driveway is for Whimsy guests and can fit 4 cars.

The Suite Spot is a suite adjacent to Whimsy with its own entrance, it is connected to the main house via a double locked closet. Suite Spot guests have use of the front porch and will park on the street. The Suite Spot can be rented out separately or in conjunction with Whimsy. Please inquire about availability if you need more space for your group.
Other things to note
Whimsy is a historic home built in 1920 and located in the Agnes Scott College historic district....please know there is some quirkiness to the home because it is over 100 years old. Please be gentle with the fixtures, windows, wood and know that everything won’t be perfect in the home.

Unless you have booked the Suite Spot in Decatur as well, please be aware that you are most likely sharing the house, like a duplex. Please be respectful of your suite mates’ peace and quiet, don't play loud music or TV late into the evening.

Because this is a quiet residential neighborhood, no parties or gatherings of any kind are allowed. Our lovely neighbors will let us know if an unauthorized gathering is occurring.

Dogs are allowed with host’s approval. Cats are not allowed.

The first floor HVAC is controlled remotely by the host.

All bathrooms and bedrooms are located on the 2nd & 3rd levels of the home.
