Maris is a light-filled, newly completed designer home arranged across two levels and set up for relaxed group stays. The upper level forms the main living hub, bringing together the open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge. Large sliding doors open directly to the deck and pool, creating an easy indoor–outdoor flow that works well for long mornings, shared meals, and afternoons spent outside.
The kitchen is well equipped and practical for everyday holiday use, whether preparing simple breakfasts or cooking for the group. Also on this level is the master bedroom, fitted with a king bed and its own ensuite, positioned slightly apart from the main living areas for added privacy.
Downstairs, the layout suits families or mixed groups who want space to spread out. There is a second bedroom with a super king bed that can be split into singles on request, a generous bunk room with four built-in king single bunks, a full bathroom, and a second lounge. This lower living area includes a large television and gas fireplace, making it a comfortable retreat for movie nights or quieter time indoors.
Across both levels, the home feels bright, uncluttered, and easy to live in. The separation of spaces allows everyone to be together without feeling crowded, while the pool and outdoor areas naturally become part of daily life during warmer months.

Guest Access:
Check in is from 2:00 pm and check out is by 10:30 am. Early check in or late check out may be available for an additional fee and will be confirmed closer to your stay. These options cannot be offered when there is a same day guest changeover.

Maris is located close to Oneroa Village, making it easy to enjoy the island without relying on a car. The village is home to cafés, shops, and everyday essentials, all within walking distance from the house.
For daytime meals, Solar Eating House is a popular option for relaxed lunches, while Aperitivo offers casual dining and drinks with elevated views. The Oyster Inn remains a long standing local favourite for dinner.
Oneroa Beach is also close by and works well for swimming, paddleboarding, and evening walks along the sand. For vineyard visits, Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant and Cable Bay are a short drive away and are well suited to long lunches with harbour views. For something more casual, The Heke is nearby and popular for shared plates, open space, and craft beer.
Getting Around:
The nearest bus stop is a short walk from the house, making arrival by passenger ferry straightforward. Buses run from Onetangi through Oneroa and continue on to the Matiatia ferry, stopping near major vineyards along the way, including The Heke. This makes it easy to explore the island without driving.
If you prefer to drive, parking is available on site and access to Oneroa Village, beaches, and the island’s main routes is quick and easy.
