"Fin og rolig beliggenhet i gangavstand fra jernbanestasjonen. Kanskje ikke det mest moderne, men fint rom med ganske nyrenovert bad og vinduer av nyere dato. Trivelig italiensk restaurant og et bakeriutsalg med kafébord like ved."

"Das 3. Bett war ein unzumutbar harter Schlafsessel, auf dem nur uneben ungemütlich schmerzhaft zu schlafen war. Ein anderes Beistellbett wurde auf meine Nachfrage hin am nächsten Tag allerdings sofort aufgestellt. Das Frühstücksbuffett ist für satte 14 Euro extremst spärlich gehalten mit nur einer Fruchtart und keiner Brotauswahl, es gab nur Brötchen und kleine Croissants. "

"The hotel was fine. Friendly staff, room was good, breakfast was good. Outdoor area looks a little sad, with unkept entrance area (weeds). We Would, However, stay again. Very reasonably priced"

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"Our stay was very nice from start to finish. While the room wasn't spectacular, it was certainly cozy and more than adequate. The hotel is located in a nice, tranquil area where noise is minimal, and you can wake up to the sound of birds singing in the morning."
